Our Open Science Effort
The Open Scientist Code of Conduct
To maintain the integrity of the Digital Ecosystem, all participants agree to the following standards:
I. Epistemic Humility
We acknowledge that in both quantum systems and complex AI, we are often "blind men feeling an elephant." We welcome corrections, refutations, and peer audits. Being proven wrong is a contribution to the truth.
II. Radical Attribution
Open science is built on the shoulders of giants.
Always credit the original architects of a field or a codebase.
Maintain clear "Lineage Tags" in your metadata so the history of an idea is never lost.
III. Proactive Inclusion
The laws of physics do not discriminate, and neither should our digital systems.
Actively seek to identify bias in datasets.
Ensure that the "Digital Ecosystem" remains accessible to those with low-bandwidth or limited computing power.
IV. Defensive Openness
We pledge to keep our tools open-source to prevent "capture" by proprietary interests. If a tool is built using the Open Scientist Framework, it must remain part of the Scientific Commons.
V. Ethical Symmetry
We treat the data of individuals with the same respect we treat the fundamental constants of nature. Privacy is not an obstacle to science; it is a boundary condition of ethical research.
The Goal: To move from a "Publish or Perish" mindset to a "Share and Flourish" reality.
